Our attorneys will either speak with you on the telephone or review the information you provide and promptly determine whether further consultation is appropriate.  Initial phone conferences are always without charge.

If our attorneys believe that we may be able to help you, we will arrange to meet with you for an initial consultation.  If your case involves an injury or death of a family member, the initial consultation is without charge.  In other areas of practice, there may be a charge for the initial consultation, depending upon the type of case and your ability to pay.

After the initial consultation, the attorney will decide whether we can represent you in your case.  If the attorney agrees to represent you, and you want us to handle your case, then we will enter into a contract of representation. We do not represent anyone until there is a contract.

Many cases are handled on a contingent fee basis. This means that we only get paid an attorneys’ fee if we recover money for the client.  Sometimes the case is handled on an hourly basis, and the client is billed for the hours that the attorney and paralegal spend on the case. We will be happy to advise you of the most appropriate fee arrangement for your case based on our experience in handling similar cases.
